Religious Invitations - Boys

Communion Invitations for Boys

You have probably heard the famous saying that boys will be boys. Even though this is true, you can focus on his personality at his communion or confirmation celebration. Our religious invitations for boys feature traditional designs with crosses, doves, and chalices. But, we also have cute designs with sheep or a fisherman. Many of our best-loved invites are available in a variety of colors, including pale blue, royal blue, teal and navy. Irish rosary designs, cathedral backgrounds, Bibles and borders in both blue and neutral colors are favorites for First Holy Communion Celebrations. We can print your son's favorite scripture verse at the top of most of the invites, and we can personalize many designs with his name. Some parents choose a classic and formal invitation to let friends and family know about the religious ceremony and a casual one for the celebration afterward. Younger children are fond of the sheep and stripes background and the colorful cross designs. Our "Fishers of Men" card reminds guests of Matthew 4:19. All of the cards have matching thank you notes, so you can thank your guests for sharing in a milestone day!

Below are some excerpts from songs and poetry by Christian writers. Since the requirements and exact meaning of Confirmation and Communion can vary from church to church, be sure to choose a verse that is appropriate and meaningful for your specific celebration.

Excerpt from Nearer My God to Thee
by Sarah F. Adams

In my Savior's love, I am perfectly blest.
In my Father's house, I am safe and at rest.

Excerpt from Sing Praise to The Lord
by Henry Williams Baker

Sing praise to the Lord! Thanksgiving and song
To Him be poured out all ages along!
For love in creation, for Heaven restored,
For His grace of salvation, sing praise to our Lord!

Excerpt from The Lamb
by William Blake

Little Lamb, who made thee
Dost thou know who made thee,
Gave thee life, and bid thee feed
By the stream and o'er the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing, woolly, bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoice?
Little Lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee?

Excerpt from Just As I Am
by Charlotte Elliott

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Take My Life and Let it Be
by Frances Ridley Havergal

Take my life, and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee;
take my moments and my days,
let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move
at the impulse of thy love;
take my feet, and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing
always, only, for my King;
take my lips, and let them be
filled with messages from thee.

Take my silver and my gold.
Not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use
every power as thou shalt choose.
